You probably own some version of an ETF tracking the S&P. But, the Russell 2000? Probably not. Small caps get a bad wrap for a variety of good and bad reasons. Much like buying a bag of day-old bagels at a discount, a small cap index is a pandora’s box of profitable and unprofitable. 

With Deepwater, I helped sell what seemed obvious to them - that small caps were due for their time in the sun - to the unconvinced. We developed a strategy and tone around the ETF true to Deepwater’s principles.
